Valmiki Ramayana
Valmiki was a great Indian poet of Sanskrit.
He is also known as "Ādi Kavi",because he was first poet of Sanskrit poetry.
He is the author of the epic Rāmāyaṇa,in Sanskrit language.The Ramayana is consists of 23000 Slokas and 7 Kandas.The Ramayana is written on Rama's Life.
Vālmīki is also quoted to be the contemporary of Śrī Rāma.
