Acharya Chatursen Shastri was an Indian, Hindi literature writer. He wrote various genres of Hindi Literature. During early days, he known by  'Chaturbhuj'. Many of his literature has been filmed by Indian cinema. As - Dharmputra . Jawaharlal Nehuru was one of the friend of Acharya Chatursen who tried to ban his books ; Because his literature works was accused of agitation and formation of  tension between Hindu and Muslims.

 'Vaishali Ki Nagarvadhu' is one of the best creation among his literature work. The novel is life story of a girl  named 'Amrapali' . She was too beautiful and fascinating. That's why everybody in the city ('Vaishali'); wanted to marry her.

One day court had been assembled; And due to people's lustful and envious nature,  the girl (Amrapali) was declared as Nagarvadhu(Prostitute). After that, her life brought many dramatic change.
